Last weekend, OnlyHomes hosted a collaborative event with the contemporary art gallery — ArtWeekend. The main theme of the meeting was the role of art in shaping private home spaces and fostering professional dialogue among architects, designers, and collectors.
In the intimate setting of the hall, architects, designers, curators, and private collection owners gathered. Instead of presentations, there were discussions about personal perceptions of art and how it transforms living spaces, adding an intellectual dimension to homes. "A true home is not just architecture; it’s a living collection of solutions, feelings, and stories," noted one participant. ArtWeekend became yet another intersection point for professionals, focusing on internal culture rather than market trends.
– How architects can perceive art not just as decor but as an integral part of the project. – Why clients increasingly incorporate collections into the architectural concept of their homes. – How art objects shape the mood of spaces and become part of everyday life. – The role of designers as mediators between artists and clients. During the discussion, participants concluded that art in the home is an extension of the owner's personality.
After the discussion, guests moved to the exhibition space of the gallery for a private tour of the exhibition "Contours of Reality." Architects shared which artworks could serve as focal points in private residences, while collectors recounted their stories of searching for that perfect piece.
"We choose art not with our eyes, but with our intuition. Just as we choose architects," was heard from the audience.
Following the meeting, the club plans a series of small evenings at the intersection of art and architecture, featuring gallerists, curators, and artists. In 2026, OnlyHomes will present a special project "Art & Home" — a selection of the best art integrations in private homes created by club members.
We will get acquainted, explain how the club works, and how interactions take place within OnlyHomes.
